Desktop replacement in a laptop

Researched extensively for gaming laptops under 2000 dollars. ROG Strix G17 wins on price-to-performance. Ryzen 9 + RTX 3070 + 17-inch FHD + 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD. ROG build quality is premium. Cooling is loud but effective.

Performance is excellent for the price. ROG Strix G17 plays all modern games at high settings. The downside is weight — 6+ pounds is not exactly portable. If you need a desktop replacement, this is the right pick. Travel laptop, not so much.
