Yes it has less storage and 1440p instead of 4K. But you get all the same Xbox features — Game Pass, Quick Resume, all-digital library, Auto HDR. For 660 dollars (including controller and free shipping), best value Xbox.

Bought for my 10-year-old. Series S delivers — all the Xbox games at smooth framerates, Game Pass library means hundreds of games to play, all-digital means no disc clutter. Half the price of buying him a Series X.

Way smaller than Series X. Fits anywhere in my entertainment setup. Performance for 1440p is excellent. Quick Resume means I can switch games in seconds. Game Pass library accessible immediately.

Solid budget current-gen
Could not afford Series X. Series S gives me 95 percent of the experience for half the price. 1440p output looks great on my 1080p TV. SSD is fast, controller is great, Game Pass is the killer feature.
